Navodaya Vidyalaya admission procedure: Navodya Vidyalaya is a renowned institution for students who aspire to study in such a school. It is a large chain of schools nationwide. There are around 661 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in 28 states and eight union territories. The schools provide education to students for classes 6th and 9th every year. Navodaya Vidyalaya selection process
- The application can be applied online and offline.
- The students can collect application forms near Navodaya School from the principal of a school or Block development from any stationery shop.
- You can visit the official website if want to apply online.
- You can go through the prospectus before applying.
- Submit a self-declaration certificate that can be produced for uploading the application form.
- The students must mention the date of birth in numeral form. If there is any mismatch in your date of birth then the application can be canceled.
- Specify permanent identification in the form.
- You can submit the application form via offline or online mode.
- After submitting the application You will appear in the written test and shortlist for the DV through the merit list.
Navodaya Vidyalaya Fee Structure:
- There is no application fee for students of class 6th to 8th.
- The students of class 9th to 12th have to pay an annual fee of 1200 rupees.
- The fee for the student of a government employee is Rs.5000.
- There is no fee for students in SC/ST category.
- Boys and girls of BPL are not required to pay any fee.
- There is provision for the board, hostel facilities, textbooks, and uniforms.
Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test Eligibility criteria:
- The students from the district where Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is opened can only apply for admission.
- In the districts where JNV is opened, old borders of the district are considered valid for admission.
- If the candidate is from rural quota, then he/she should have studied in classes 3, 4,5 from recognized rural established schools.
- Those who are looking for education from NIOS, National Institute of Open Schooling should show their rural status certificate issued by Tehsildar/District Magistrate and BDO.
- The age of the candidate must be between 9 and 13 years.
- There is no provision for a student to get selected for a test a second time in any situation.
- 75 percent of seats of the district are for candidates to rural areas and 25 percent of students to urban areas.
Important points for class 6th
- The students must successfully pass classes 3, and 4,5 in earlier years without any prior gap.
- Those students who are not admitted and promoted to class 5 before 30th September do not apply.
Important points for class 9th
- The students must successfully pass classes 6,7,8 in earlier years without any prior gap.
- Those students who are not admitted and promoted to class 8 before 30th September do not apply.
Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test Reservation
- There is a reservation for 75% of rural areas.
- There is a reservation for 25% for the urban area
- SC category: 15%
- ST category: 7%
- Physically Handicapped category candidates are 3%
- For boys, it is 67%
- For girls, there is a reservation for 33%

JNVST exam paper pattern
The selection test is of two hours duration. The test starts from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm. The exam paper has three sections with objective-type questions. There is a total of 80 questions of a total of 100 marks.

Navodaya Vidyalaya syllabus
There are many topics subject-wise that are required to be covered for passing the entrance exam. We are discussing certain topics subject-wise for the 6th and 9th classes.
JNVST Class 6th syllabus
Arithmetic-
You can cover various concepts in the conversion of fractions to decimals and vice versa, applications number in measure length, capacity, mass, time, and money, approximation of expressions, and simplification of numerical expressions. You must also study various topics in percentage, area, volume, perimeter, number system, and four fundamental operations on the whole number. The other concepts in a fractional number, factors, and multiple, LCM, HCF, profit & loss, simple interest, distance, time, and speed.
Mental ability-
The experienced tutors will teach you an analogy, geometrical figure, mirror images, space visualization, embedded figures, punched hold pattern, and more.
Language-
You must prepare for comprehension of passage and grammar.
JNVST Class 9th Syllabus:
General science-
The Geometry School tutors will help to study food-crop production and management, food preservation, and microorganisms. The other topics like synthetic fiber, metal, coal, petroleum, and fossil fuels. You must also study living and non-living, cell structure and function, wildlife sanctuary and national parks, conservation of plants and animals. The topics like reproduction, force, light, chemical effects of electric current, natural phenomena, earthquake, pollution of water & air, solar systems, and constellations.
English-
Tense forms, reported speech, prepositions, comprehension, word and sentence, structure spelling, passivation, jumbled words and rearranging, modal auxiliaries, and use of degrees of comparison.
Maths-
Algebraic expressions and factorization, linear equations in one variable, quadrilateral, data handlings like a bar graph, pie chart, and probability. You can also study various topics in mensuration, rational numbers, square & square roots, cube and cube roots, exponents & power, direct and inverse proportions, comparing quantities like percentage, profit & loss, discount, compound interest, and simple interest.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2023 Admit card
The students will get admit cards via the official website. You can download the admit card by date of birth and application number. The admit card will be available on a specific date on the website. The student cannot come to the exam hall without admit card. You must keep the admit card with you till the admission procedure gets completed.
