  • Availability of online application form: 1st July 2024 onwards.
  • Last date to apply: 31st October 2024, Thursday.
  • Application fee: Rs. 800 /- (+ bank charges).
  • Last date of application fee payment: 31st October 2024, Thursday.
  • Admit Card availability: 15th November 2024 onwards.
  • Admission process: Two Phased - Written Test and Interview.
  • Written Test: 15th December 2024, Sunday
  • Interview: To be conducted later on, only for shortlisted candidates.

Two Phased - Written Test and Interview.

First Phase – Written Test (Sunday, 15th December 2024)

The examinations will take place simultaneously at designated centers in Asansol, Chapra, Deoghar, Imphal, Kolkata, Ranchi, and Siliguri. However, applicants' preferred venue choices are not guaranteed. The final allocation will be specified on the Admit Card based on seat availability.

In this phase, a written test lasting 3 hours in total (including seating and checking) will be conducted. Candidates must enter the designated examination halls with their admit  cards and specified pens. The list of successful candidates (excluding those from the Imphal center) will be released approximately within 15 days after the written test. The subjects for the test are as follows:

Second & Final Phase:

Candidates who pass the written test mentioned above will participate in a viva-voce examination, including a brief written component, at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Deoghar, on a designated date. Aadhaar requirement: 

Candidates must provide their Aadhaar Number or Aadhaar Enrollment Number when submitting the Application Form. They should ensure that the Aadhaar Number, Name, and Date of Birth on the form match those on their Aadhaar Card.

Medical Test: 

Each candidate who qualifies for the Second & Final phase of the test will undergo medical examinations on the day of the Second and Final Test.

Syllabus for Preparation of Admission Test:

The admission test syllabus for class VI includes topics covered in class V and beyond, following the CBSE curriculum. NCERT textbooks can aid in preparation. Mathematics and Basic Science questions assess fundamental understanding appropriate for their level. English and Vernacular sections test knowledge of basic grammar, vocabulary, spelling, comprehension of passages, essay writing, and expressive ability. Sample question papers are unavailable.

Instructions for Guardians:

Parents or legal guardians must accompany their wards for the final test and bring original documents. The test will primarily assess general intelligence, expression, and personality in the Second & Final Test. There is no specific syllabus, but questions will be age and standard appropriate. Successfully selected candidates will receive notification via email and website within one month after the Admission Test. The new session will commence in April 2025.

Quota: 

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Deoghar, does not have any provision for admission quotas of any kind.

Fees-structure: 

The circular for the exact fees & charges will be sent along with the call letter for the interview. For any query regarding this, Vidyapith accounts department may be approached. The charges for compulsory tutorial classes are extra and will be informed later on.
Cancellation:

The selection may be canceled if any irregularities are found in the application form, including discrepancies in health reports. Failure to provide accurate information may result in the candidate's removal at any stage, even after admission. Any discrepancies in the date of birth or declared height may lead to the candidate not being selected.

Additional Information:

a. Accommodation is not provided at the Vidyapith during the Admission Test.

b. The Ramakrishna Mission does not operate any other residential schools in Jharkhand & Bihar.

c. The Ramakrishna Mission does not organize or endorse any coaching, training, or tutorial centers for its admission tests anywhere.

Applying for Admission:

STEP 1: Filling Out the Online Application Form

I. Before Filling Out the Online Application Form, Candidates Must Ensure the Following:

A. Prepare the following documents in .jpeg or .png format:

  • Passport-size photograph with a plain background (similar to the SAMPLE shown below).
  • Specimen signature of the candidate.
  • Specimen signature of the candidate’s legal guardian.
  • Aadhaar Card or Aadhaar Enrolment Acknowledgement Receipt.

B. Have a valid Email ID and Mobile Number ready for future communication.

C. Gather other details such as father’s and mother’s occupation, salary, contacts, and family information.

II. Review the Sample Application Form (View) before completing the actual Online Form.


STEP 2: Venue Selection & Payment of Application Fee (Rs. 800/-)

I. After submitting the initial details, proceed to select the venue. Please note, the applicant's choice of venue is provisional. Final allotment will be reflected on the Admit Card based on seat availability.

II. Proceed to make the Application Fee payment.

III. Online Payment Modes accepted:

  • Any Debit Card
  • UPI

IV. Deadline for Application Fee payment: Thursday, 31st October 2024.
The admission application process is considered complete upon successful payment.

STEP 3: ADMIT CARD

I. Admit cards will be available for download starting from 15th November 2024. Use your login credentials (Form No. and Date of Birth) to access and download your Admit Card.
