APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO CLASS VI & IX FOR ACADEMIC SESSION 2025-26.

1. Applications are invited for admission (Boys & Girls) to Class VI and Class IX in Rashtriya Military Schools located at Chail (Himachal Pradesh), Ajmer (Rajasthan), Belgaum (Karnataka), Bengaluru     (Karnataka), and Dholpur (Rajasthan).

2. Admissions are for both Boys and Girls. Important Dates for Admissions in Rashtriya Military Schools are as under:

3. RMS CET 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

Rashtriya Military Schools have established specific Admissions criteria for Class VI & IX Students. Please visit the eligibility criteria below for RMS admissions in 2025:
(a) Age Limits:

For Class VI: Candidates (Boys and Girls) aged between 10 to 12 Years as on 31 March 2025 (born between 1 April 2013 to 31 March 2015, both days inclusive) are eligible.
For Class IX: Candidates (Boys and Girls) aged between 13 to 15 Years as on 31 March 2025 (born between 1 April 2010 to 31 March 2012, both days inclusive) are eligible.
Note: A grace period of 6 months is allowed beyond the upper age limit for candidates seeking admission to Class VI and Class IX who are children of personnel killed in action during war.

(b) Educational Qualification:

For Class VI: Applicants must have successfully completed Class V or be currently enrolled in it, with the requirement to pass before admission to the Military School.

For Class IX: Prospective candidates must have successfully completed Class VIII at a government or recognized institution prior to the admission deadline. Additionally, students currently enrolled in Class VIII are eligible to participate in the entrance examination for admission to Class IX.

(c) Entrance Examination:

The scheduled date for the OMR-based Common Entrance Test for admission to Class VI & Class IX will be communicated to all registered Email IDs and Mobile Numbers via Email/SMS. 4. Reservation of Vacancies:

(a) Seventy percent of the available positions are allocated for the children of Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) and Other Ranks (OR) from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, which also encompasses ex-servicemen. 

(b) Thirty percent of the slots are reserved for the children of officers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, which extends to retired officers, as well as the offspring of civilians. 

(c) A collective total of fifty seats are specifically designated for individuals falling under the category of 'Killed in Action' across all five Regional Military Schools (RMSs) concurrently.

Note: 27%, 15% and 7.5% of seats are reserved for OBC, (Non-Cremy Layer) SC and ST in all categories.
For Class-VI, Ten percent Seats or Thirty vacancies maximum (put together in all Five RMS) will be reserved for Girl Candidates.

5. Admit Cards, Interview and Results:

Candidates who successfully pass the Common Entrance Test (CET) and earn a place on the merit list will be summoned to participate in interviews at their respective Rashtriya Military Schools. The ultimate merit list will be formulated subsequent to these interviews.

6. Medical Examination:

Selected Candidates based on the cumulative score of CET and Interviews will have to undergo medical exams at Military Hospitals as nominated by the Director General of Medical Services. Only those candidates found medically fit will be offered for admissions in various RMS Schools.

7. Application Forms:
